How to read a TopPay method code

TopPay’s regional guides use a method field. Cashier mode (POST /pay/prePay) can often omit it and send the payer to a hosted page. API mode (POST /pay/transOrder) requires it and returns payData: a virtual account, a QR string, or a redirect, depending on payDataType.

Indonesia and the Philippines guides both say API mode is off until support whitelists the merchant. India says the method is required and must be UPI, and that amounts are whole rupees. Those constraints are more useful in a sales email than a slogan about one integration.

The preferred host in the guides is openapi.toppayment.com, with the country code in the path. Legacy hosts such as global-id-openapi.toppayment.com are described as still available. Sandbox URLs add /sandbox/ before the country code.
